Setting up local networks is not a trivial task and often is not worth the time. How often did you just need to copy a file from one computer to another and you found it easier to email it to yourself or use
a *Floppy-Net* or a *Flash Drive - Net* to copy it? Why? Because the 2 computers are part of different workgroups, members or different domains, in different subnetworks, use different proxy settings, sit behind a Firewall or NAT, etc. etc.
Didn't you ask yourself, why is it so hard to copy one single file?
As long as the 2 computers are connected to internet, there is no reason why you shouldn't be able to copy files directly from one PC to another. Roboshare uses an Http tunnel, full duplex http connections, and automatically configures to use your IE browser proxy settings.
Roboshare is a simple Explorer window that sees your files accross computers. You can browse your remote directories, Copy/Paste files and directories to and from your remote shares. Very easy to use and works everywere.
You don't have to install Roboshare in order to use it. To copy your files accross machine:
- On Computer 1 click "Launch Roboshare", Select a file or folder and share it.
- On Computer 2 click "Launch Roboshare", Expand "My Shares" node, select the share and Copy/Paste.
